Merry Christmas (2011) Taylor. I hope you find this "What Color Is Your Parachute for Teens?" book useful. I do!

The subtitle of the book is "Discovering Yourself, Defining Your Future".

The book parallels the work I am doing on my LifeWorkPS.com blog which is dedicated to helping people like you to "make your dreams your LifeWork".

Your LifeWork is work that gives you joy.

And the work that you enjoy doing is what defines your LifeWork
.

There are hundreds of pieces of key information about yourself and thousands of pieces of key information about the world of work that you need to research, collect and prioritize now and over your lifetime, if you want to 1) know who you are, so you can 2) (re)define and 3) (re)find your LifeWork.

You should take your time in Part One (pages 1-51) doing this work of researching, collecting, (re)prioritizing and (re)defining. It is the foundation upon which you will (re)find your LifeWork in Parts Two and Three. I say "(re)find" because you will experience many transistions during your lifetime that will affect your life, work and LifeWork.

It is VERY IMPORTANT that you learn and develop these LifeWork/career planning skills as early as possible so you can manage these transistions with a minimum amount of stress. Page 1 in the book says that ".... teen years are a great time to be thinking about your life's work."

LifeWork/career planning is the MOST IMPORTANT project you will ever do for YOURSELF!

LifeWork/career planning is my passion. I am looking forward to working with you and your mother to help you find your LifeWork.

I have a copy of this book.

I've set up a private Facebook Group called "Taylor's LifeWork planning" for just you, your mother and me. Talk to your mother about when would be the best time for you to join it to start asking us your questions about your LifeWork planning.

On pages 10, 20, 26, 31-33, 34-35, and 49 the authors encourage you to write your results in your "My Parachute" on page v. I strongly recommend that you first record your results of those sections in a computer file such as your own private website/blog, Google Docs or MS Word docs. The reason is that it is 1) easier to change and move text on a computer than it is with an eraser and pencil or pen, and 2) to find stuff via "Search".

I love you,

LifeWork/career cybermentor grandpa Hubbard
