January 02, 2007

As of 6/9/08, there are 19991 comments in LWPS. I suspect that most of them are no longer required and can be deleted or folded into a post.

You can view comments that are less than a month old by clicking on "Your Blog", then "View activity" (middle of right sidebar), then each of the four links under "You may view recent activity during the following time-frames:"
  • The last 24 hours
  • The last 48 hours
  • The last week
  • The last month
You can also view all posts with comments by clicking  on the "View all posts" link.

Currently, there is no way to view a list of your comments beyond the "last month" so it behooves you to make it a practice to manage your comments (and others if their comments are on your post) by periodically, at least once a month, reviewing all the comments, and if no longer useful, deleting them or merge them into the commented post.

Please note that your comments are part of the storage you use on LWPS. This post "Tip Jar" (see link in upper right corner) talks about future plans to request a contribution from users who exceed some yet-to-be-determined storage amount.

Thank you.

How to find an LWPS post number

Every post in LWPS has a post number.

Consider every post in LWPS - including this one - to be like a page number in a "book". The post/page number for this post is 1717. Look at the address line of your browser and find the following URL or link: http://lifeworkps.com/new/weblog/1717.html.

1717 is the post number for this post.

NOTE: If you create a new post, you won't be able to find the post number until you SAVE the post.

If you are editing your post, you can find the post number after ...&weblog_post_id=1717....

If you you are looking at a list of posts, then pass your cursor over the "Comments( )" link just below EDIT | Delete line and you will see the URL for that post - then look for the post number at the end of the URL immediately in frontof ".html".
