The value of a tag is the ability to help you quickly and easily locate friends, people, posts (yours and others), communities, resources, etc.
After you create a post, review it closely for key words, then type them into the "Keywords" section of your post.
- Note: Separate your tags/keywords with commas.
- Your initials as tags: Add your initials to every post you make so you can see a list of all of your posts when you click on your initials. (Please do NOT add other member's initials as tags to your posts.) Click on my initials tag "hph" below to see.
- Tagcloud: Click on "Tags" in anyone's gold box and see their tagcloud - an alphabetical list of all of tags (keywords) that they have used. Click here to view my (Pete Hubbard's) tagcloud. Click on a few of the larger tags and explore.
- Considerations:
- You may want to include a tag for part or all of your post title
- You may want to have the singular and plural form of a tag, like tag, tags. Thanks, Sally, for these suggestions.
- Add these tags to your "Keywords" box for these reasons
