I've created an MS Word document [1] for my LWPS business cards, uploaded it to the LWPS server and created this post to inform you in case you wanted to download it and customize it to your needs so you can print off a small number of (LWPS) business cards for your use.

I actually have several different versions (about LWPS, CD Forums and my vest) that I will carry with me to the NCDA and ACSCI conferences and other events. I can print off as many cards as I need of each. And I can edit each document very easily if I want to change the cards.

The LWPS version has the blue Dreamcatcher banner at the top and lists my profile, weblog and some key links.

To download it and customize it to your needs just click this link - http://lifeworkps.com/HPH/LWPS/BusinessCard.doc

[1] The MS Word doc is based upon the Avery Template 5882 which has 10 cards per sheet. You can purchase this Avery product of "White Clean Edge Busines Card" stock from most office supply houses.

I added the "BC" tag so you can easily search for and find this post at any time.

If you have a website, or have added comments to blogs or discussion boards, then it is very likely that you have established an Internet presence (IP). In other words, if someone wanted to find you (and the services you offer), and they used key words (in a search engine) that you used in your website, or comments in blogs or dicussion boards, then you should see those references listed in the seach engine results. Click here to see searches I created to monitor my IP.

Your personal/professional LWPS weblog and the community weblogs you use to offer your services are excellent vehicles for promoting and expanding your "Internet presence".

You should review where you are currently marketing yourself to determine if you should add a link to one of these LWPS web sources.

For example, some of you are listed in NCDA's "Search for Counselors by State" webpage.

There are over 120 counselors listed and only about 40 have a webpage link. Note that Ed Colozzi has used his LWPS account for his website. And click this link and each of the searches within it to see how Ed's IP has grown.

Compare these to the value you receive from publishing an NCDA Career Convergence article.

You are receiving this email because you are a registered member of the LifeWork Planning Services (LWPS) blogging platform.

During your registration process, you were given an opportunity to review the LWPS Privacy Policy. Item four (4) of that policy states "We will not send you any junk emails. Furthermore we will not send you any information unless you have specifically requested we do so. An exception to this rule will be the initial email validation when you create a new account.".

We would like to modify the last sentence to read "An exception to this rule will be the initial email validation when you create a new account and important news (LWPS News) and announcements about LifeWork Planning Services. All such emails will provide instructions for terminating membership."

One of the examples of important announcements we would want to be able to email to you is this post describing the installation of a major new release (0.8) for LWPS and an invitation to you to go to our test system to check it out.

Another example, is a reminder to review the value and purpose of LWPS as described in the "About LWPS" link in the upper right of all LWPS webpages.

If you do not wish to accept this change, or if you want to be removed from LifeWork Planning Services, please REPLY to this note and request removal.

Pete
