Below is an MS Word .doc and a PDF version of my proposed template (style, format and layout) for a chapter in the monograph.
- Draft of monograph chapter template .doc - http://www.lifeworkps.com/HPH/Pubs/LWPS-monograph/1st-Edition/NCDA-Monograph-chapter-template.doc
- Draft of monograph chapter template .pdf - http://www.lifeworkps.com/HPH/Pubs/LWPS-monograph/1st-Edition/NCDA-Monograph-chapter-template.pdf
Please review it and make comments about it here no later than Wed. 3/1 so we can finalize it.
When it is finalized, I will ask each of you to
- Add one segment of your outline that has 2-3 sub-headings
- Add a few words to the lowest level
- Test out TOC, then remove it
- Send the file back to me so I can roll it up and we can see what it looks like.

1. The proposal submission guidelines only require my (the author's) bio in section 3 of the proposal.
a. If our proposal is approved, then we all need to decide if we will insert our bios (like yours above) in the "About the author and contributors" section of the monograph, or if it is sufficient to provide links to them in our LWPS profile, where we can have our full bios (or links to them) in the "Who am I" section. I opt for the latter, and you will see, when I send out the revised draft of the proposal, where I have inserted those links.
b. In the beginning when we started the monograph idea, I asked everyone to create a post for their monograph bio, and another for their day-to-day bio IF it was different. Now, it is not necessary for the proposal, but I still think everyone should do it and either put it in their profile or link to it.
Q2. "... where do I post other sections of the proposal ..."
A2: The proposal is essentially finished, so I don't need anything else from most of you. I have rcvd an outline from Sue, and I just added a few things for Donna's outline.
2. But your question reveals a "tip of the iceberg" set of more basic questions which we need to address soon - if the momograph is approved, and maybe, even if it isn't.
I'd like us to discuss these in this post entitled Developing and finalizing the monograph.
Comment on Activity 3: Join a LWPS Community
Purpose: To provide a distance medium through which individuals can discuss specific topics of mutual interest (purpose is what you would like to accomplish in this activity
Learning Objectives: To create or join one or more online communities on the LWPS learning platform.
Time required: maybe give more of a range, some users may take more time than others
Instructions:
As we discussed yesterday, a lot of work needs to be done on templating Activities. What you saw in the chapter template was a quick, rough example, based upon my limited understanding of what an Activity should be and say.
So I've created this post http://lifeworkps.com/bookworm/weblog/171.html to start a conversation there about this. It is empty at the moment. Please mark it as interesting, and join me there to help flesh this out.
