LWPS development :: Blog :: A prioritized list of Diana's projects and tasks with possible help from Jeffrey

March 23, 2006

  1. CP009: Build a function to the right of [edit][delete] on each post that creates a hyperlink (URL plus title) in my clipboard for this post so I can paste into another post.
  2. CP011: Add an "LWPS Admin" function to change "weblog" assignment for a post. Ie: I want to change post 2120 from weblog = 46 to 30. I'm tagging with "Move".
  3. CP008: Build a DB of storage use that will be used to request contributions and moderate functions when contributions are not forthcoming.
  4. 2/7/08 - COPY source code for these two functions on Eduspace - Download blog as HTML | Download blog as RSS so we can use them on LWPS to allow personal manual backup of posts. I will charge users for this function.
  5. CP004/CP006: Plugins and widgets
    1. Review Creating your own customized plugins before writing plugin code since I may be offering these plugins back to Elgg.
    2. Tell me what is involved in uploading one, a few, or all of the current plugins/widgets on the test system and the live system.
    3. How easy is it to remove one or more plugins/widget.
    4. Look at AddThis.com
    5. Install selected plugins/widgets. 9/5: KiteCV
  6. CP00?: How easy would it be to modify the code so that one could type lifeworkps.com/2240 to jump to post # 2240?
  7. A plugin to moderate/approve registration requests. When someone wants to register, ask them to give the name of the person who invited them, or how they found out about LWPS, so I can approve. Give me two links in the e-mail where I can approve or disapprove with comment, and make the e-mail come from LWPS not my hubbard@waypt.com.
  8. {{LWPSSORTstart, , , }} items to be sorted  {{LWPSSORTstop}} with tag of “LWPSSORT asc!desc”. When sort is done, reset tag to “LWPSSORT off asc|desc” and add info msg “LWPSSORT tag reset to “off”. Remove “off” when you wish to do another sort.” If no “LWPSSORTSTART” or “LWPSSORTSTOP” does not exist, say so in an info msg, with a link to help topic on LWPSSORT command.  (See how NetFlix sorts it's videos - http://www.netflix.com/Queue?prioritized=true
  9. Integrate and Install MediaWiki
  10. On "edit" line, if Admin, add a tab to view member info. (Posts, profile, when joined, last used, size, subscription, )
  11. Recreate a list of members or communties when a new member joins or a new community is created.
  12. "Rollup" posts into a concatented weblog post based upon a tag or tags. A variant on the "presentation" plugin.
  13. {{LWPSEDIT, tag1, tag2, tag3,}} get a listing of all posts that match those tags and next to each title are two links View or Edit. And this LWPS command stays at the top in case I want to submit a new set of tags.
  14. {{LWPSCOMPLETE, tag1, tag2, tag3,}} Search for tag1 which will normally be a per-centage complete like 60%, then search for subsequent tags, then, if TOTAL is included, just list the number. HPH = 23% CCC = 08%
  15. "Autotagger" design specs
  16. Print function (options on what to print)
  17. Admin Control Panel
    1. Username|name(profile|email|startdate|Plan & # of posts|Plan & # of communities|# files|Plan & max file size|
    2. Chg file size from 10meg to ?meg; Max # of communities; Basic, Plan B or PLan C; # posts; Alert to them adn me at 80% to go to the next plan; access general adv features; access services; %$;# times you can use this feature for free;
    3. Counters for views (total, weekly) for all posts
    4. Add text (from my admin) info about communities (free/fee)

All completed projects have been tagged (see below) with "LWPS projects completed by Diana".

  1. [2] Info/err msgs are inserted in color at the top, just like “Post has been updated”.
  2. Control for most of these plugins will be in the use of tags. E.g. See LWPSCOPY
