Hints for identifying your interests

Consider the following when you are trying to identify your interests. 

  1. types of
    1. expression like writing, painting, singing, building, sewing, etc. 
    2. entertainment and recreation (books, movies, songs, authors/singers, etc.)
    3. tasks you like to do indoors and outdoors (sports, hobbies, exercises, etc.)
    4. tools and technologies you like to use
    5. organizations where you like to spend your time
    6. people you like to be with
    7. animals you like
    8. etc

Please read the instructions below before you work on this template.

  1. This LWPS template is intended for youth between ages 8 and 12. For older youth and adults who have never done LifeWork planning, please use this template.
  2. You do not need to decide (at this time) which interests are most important to you.
  3. Periodically review your list and add more interests as they occur to you.
  4. Print this list and keep it with you so you can write down more interests as you think of them. Edit this digital list to make those changes when you have access to it. Then reprint it and keep teh list with you.
  5. Delete text that you do not need.

Changes

  1. V 0.2 - 6/21/10: Added Hints for identifying your interests and this Changes section. I suggest you click "Edit", "Select all", COPY this template, then PASTE it to the bottom of you existing document, COPY your list into this updated document, then delete the old/top portion of your old document.
  2. V 0.1 - 6/11/10 - Added to Google Templates.
