A post that you created
If someone makes a comment to a post your created, you can learn about it two ways.
- By periodically (at least once each time you log in) clicking on your 'View your activity' button under "Recent Activity" under your gold box, or
- Receive an e-mail notification if you have set the e-mail option to "Yes" in your "Account Settings". (That option was set to "No" when you registered, but we highly recommend that you set it to "yes". You can change it anytime you wish.)
A post someone else created
Some posts you read may be so interesting that you will want to learn when someone has added a comment to them.
All you need to do is look at the post that interests you, click on "Comments", then click the "Mark as interesting" button. Then check comment activity using one of the two methods above.
When the new release of Elgg is installed, I'll show you how we can do this a different way.
Jump (back) to Lesson 1, Lesson 2, Lesson 3, or Lesson 4.
If you wish to suggest improvements to these instructions, please add a comment.
Comments
I marked one of your posts http://lifeworkps.com/sallyg/weblog/1745.html as interesting.
Please add a comment to it.
And just in case you are right that I won't see it, please add a comment here that you made the comment in post 1745.
Let's wait till we upgrade LWPS to this new version before I ask Jeffrey to try to find the bug.
