Pete Hubbard (LWPS Founder) :: Blog :: Design your LWPS personal blog with a "1-2-3 clicks goal" in mind

March 29, 2006

EVERY LWPS post you create should be accessible within one, two or three mouse clicks from anywhere on the LWPS platform.

Why?

After you have made a few dozen posts, you will discover that they disappear "out of sight" and "out of mind" very quickly.

Presumably, we spend the time and energy creating our posts because we want (or others will want) to use or refer to them. If you or others can't find them easily and quickly, then you just wasted a lot of your time.

How might you reach the "3 click" goal?

  1. Your LifeWork Proflie could be the most comprehensive aggregator. See "My LWP" in my gold box.
  2. Tagging is the simplest and easiest solution, if you have a "system".
  3. A functional "Table of Contents" in your gold box is another. Explore what I have done.

    1. Read this post about the tags I use.
