Pete Hubbard (LWPS Founder) :: Blog :: Edit your version of an LWPS Google Template

March 08, 2007

You need to create a Google account before you can create your Google Docs library. Please read this before you create your Google account.

In my (Pete Hubbard's) Google Template Library, after you click "Use this template" for a Google Template that you are interested in, Google will COPY that template to YOUR Google Docs library.

Keep in mind that I am still improving most of the GTs. See this list for the current status of each of the GTs. If I make extensive edits to a GT that you have copied and you have made none or few, you might want to consider deleting your version and recopying the revised one by clicking "Use this template" again. Otherwise, just COPY/PASTE those sections that appeal to you.

Once you have your version, it is yours to do with as you please to edit to your needs and make it your own.

Here are some additional thoughts and suggestions.
  1. If you see "(MV)" in your version, I added it to mean "My Version" - from your point of view. Whereever you see "(MV)", you should convert the "MV" to be a hyperlink to your version of the document. Click here to learn how.  In Google Docs, click on the "Link" function.
  2. (more later)
