Career Cybermentoring :: Blog :: What is "Career Cybermentoring"?

May 27, 2006

Wiktionary defines a mentor as "a trusted counselor or teacher". A "cybermentor" is just a mentor that uses electronic media like the Internet and the telephone to do mentoring.

I (and other career cybermentors) will offer suggestions on how you can use your personal blog in this LWPS social e-learning platform to collect information about yourself to do career/lifework planning.

Click on the How to use this community in the Brief Description box to the right to get started.

  1. My Cybermentoring activities at two local high schools
  2. See this article on Cybermentoring by Dr. Gerald H. Maring, Ph.D., Professor, Teaching and Learning, Washington State University.
  3. Click here to do a Google search of the term "career cybermentor".
