Caregiver :: Blog :: 1-Day Workshop: Career, Caregiving, and Self-Care

September 13, 2007

Family caregivers, termed "carers" in many parts of the world, provide (usually unpaid) care by looking after an ill, frail or disabled family member, friend or partner. This role is becoming increasingly important, due to the rapidly growing aging population. Family caregivers often lack training or knowledge needed to manage the multitude of caregiving challenges. The mission of Agingworks.org is to provide education and training for family caregivers and for the professionals who support them.
