Caregiver :: Blog :: 3-Day Workshop: Family Caregiver Counselor Certificate Training

September 08, 2007

Family caregivers, termed "carers" in many parts of the world, provide (usually unpaid) care by looking after an ill, frail or disabled family member, friend or partner. This role is becoming increasingly important, due to the rapidly growing aging population. Family caregivers often lack training or knowledge needed to manage the multitude of caregiving challenges.

The goal of the Family Caregiver Counselor Program is to educate Counselors, not only how to support the emotional and psychological needs of family caregivers, but also how to create a successful business as a Family Caregiver Counselor.
