I've had 13 jobs since I graduated from college; ten (10) while I worked for IBM.
I planned for seven (7) of these transitions and the rest were a total surprise - some good, some not so good.
I have been very happy with most of my jobs, but I will always wonder what my life would have been like had I know some simple career planning skills.
Life happens!
You never know when you will be offered a new job or you will have to start looking for one.
But the more you know about yourself, the better prepared you are for any eventuality.
Planning for a transition is never easy when you just found out about it or are in the middle of it. That is why the best time to plan for that eventual transition is when you are happy and secure in one.
If you agree, take a look at a roadmap for this blogging platform to see if it is right for you.
